Purpose:
This project involves the construction of the Gippsland Agricultural Recovery and Resilience Centre. The centre will be a multi-purpose community facility providing the agricultural community with a place to gather, learn and apply approaches to bushfire recovery and climate mitigation. These benefits will assist the agricultural community to recover from the impact of the Black Summer bushfires, while increasing the knowledge and resilience of farmers to prepare for, predict, and manage future bushfire events. The centre will be sited at the nexus of the Gippsland Research Farm, the Bairnsdale Airport, and the East Gippsland Field Days site.
