Purpose:
The project will involve the rollout of infrastructure, supplies and training at six remote community facilities across the Wellington Shire Council area. This will enable these remote locations to have appropriate emergency relief facilities for times when Council and support agencies are not able to physically access these regions (due to the event itself, for example fire or flood) to provide community relief. Sites will include Gormandale, Binginwarri, Woodside, Dargo, Loch Sport and Heyfield, which are considered to be high risk communities with regard to emergency management in terms of threat from bushfire and flood events.
