2023 Re-Engineering Australia (REA) SUBS in Schools National Final
Purpose:
During STEM club students learned and developed STEM and industry skills with the support of teachers and industry mentors. This is our first time competing in a National STEM Final - huge kudos. It gives students real industry experience and an opportunity to showcase their skills. During the week long competition, the team (4 girls) will demonstrate their skills and overcome challenges in: marketing, engineering, design engineering, presentations, sea trials of their RoV (submarine). On returning, the girls will act as mentors and STEM role models in school. Additionally, they hope to start a virtual STEM classroom with students in regional areas, use STEM activities to link in with Primary school students and form industry partnerships.
