Purpose:
This project will provide a worker over 27 months to facilitate a space where rural women impacted by the bushfires can come together in various ways to access support: a Womens Shed. Through consultative processes the project worker will identify and facilitate activities recognised as essential for womens capacity to revitalise themselves, their families, their social enterprises and their mental health. This project will provide a place to come together, share stories, share skills, develop new skills, access resources, support each other and ultimately reduce womens sense of isolation through tested recovery and resilience programs. Supported women are healthier and happier, and better able support their families.
