Purpose:
The project will provide restoration and enhancement of Nerriga Recreation Area, severely impacted by the fires. The recreation ground is an important muster location for RFS operation in the area, a social gathering place for the community and an important rest stop for travellers. The project will provide improved access and parking at the recreation ground, install park furniture and restore the tennis courts. The Main Street improvements include landscaping and welcome signage, which will improve Nerriga's capacity to service travellers and increase community pride by providing an attractive main street. Welcome signage and main street improvements will make Nerriga inviting and an attractive stop over on the increasingly busy coastal route.
