Tournament of Minds STEM - Launching QLD Students into TOMorrow!
Purpose:
Tournament of Minds has inspired and supported generations of Australian students. The TOM STEM Challenge provides a dynamic approach to learning, whilst developing students' enthusiasm for experimentation, problem finding and problem solving. In teams of 7, students solve a STEM Challenge which encourages divergent thinking, collaboration and out-of-the-box problem solving. This grant will be used to fund 20 government schools from across Queensland. They will receive a TOM STEM Challenge school registration, for up to two teams which includes: access to a high-quality training workshop for teachers (aligned to the professional standards), challenge support materials and participation in regional and branch/state tournaments.
