Purpose:
This exhibition foregrounds Country as an active participant, with the group having journeyed to homelands through several trips together, to engage with their Elders, community and Country.
The exhibition brings together multi-disciplinary Barkandji/Barkindji artists who are all creating new work in diverse artistic media to tell stories of their Country. Sharing their deep connection to Country, their connection to each other and to Ancestors, the artists illuminate their love for and responsibility to Country. This story will take the audience on a journey across precious cultural landscapes, warmly inviting them into the artists Country, their shared ancestral belonging.
