Science Workshops at Melbourne Museum
Purpose:
The focus of the St Annes Melbourne Museum activity is to offer STEM opportunities to inspire all of our students to build their skills and capabilities in STEM. At the Melbourne Museum students will each participate in one Museum staff-led STEM workshop choosing from A Bugs Life, Uncovering Triceratops Fossils and Climate Change and a self-directed learning session exploring the STEM exhibitions within the STEM sector of the Museum. All children will view an IMAX short STEM related film. Through the experience of the Melbourne Museum activity the students will develop an understanding of the extent of STEM skills we use in daily life. They will realise they are surrounded with STEM engagement opportunities and career possibilities.
