Purpose:
This project will meet an urgent and unmet need in the Olinda-Rylstone area of NSW, which was devastated by the Black Summer bushfires. This collaborative multipurpose community and emergency relief centre will support recovery and resilience by enhancing social connectness, social capacity and cultural life, thereby mitigating some of the negative health impacts of the fires. It will also support tourism for economic recovery and growth for the broader region, and resilience for the region to deal with future disasters.
