Addressing the poor medication adherence in prevention of cardiovascular mortality and morbidity in Australia: development of a clinical decision support tool
Purpose:
The proposed study will help to contribute to a better understanding of nonadherence behaviours. Despite the strong evidence of the impact of pharmaceutical interventions, there remains a considerable gap between ideal treatment goals and current treatment in cardiovascular disease (and other related chronic disease areas). These gaps lead to reductions in the potential positive impacts of such interventions, losses of health outcomes for individuals, and downstream impacts on health systems
