Purpose:
This project involves the installation of approximately 1 kilometre of concrete footpath, including a pedestrian footbridge, between the Bush Nursing Centre and Dargo Hall. The project will also include the installation of street lighting in the town centre where vehicles and pedestrians may meet. Project objectives include encouragement of active transport, improved pedestrian access and connectivity to key community nodes in Dargo, and improved amenity through new lighting in strategic locations. The new infrastructure will better enable visitors to the region to walk and explore, improving the visitor experience, promoting tourism and increasing expenditure at local businesses.
