Mumbulla Foundation Community Grants Program
Purpose:
Mumbulla Foundation is the Community Foundation of the Bega Valley. Since 2000, the Foundation has run a programme of community grants supporting small community organisations, many of whom struggle to find funding from other sources. The Foundation typically contributes around $50,000 per annum in small (up to $2000) and large (up to $9,000) grants. Since 2000, over $1.4M in over 500 grants have been donated to over 300 organisations.
Since the Tathra fires of 2018, followed by the continuing drought in 2019 and then the Black Summer fires, the Foundation has been unable to ask the community for donations. The Foundation is looking to continue supporting small organisations in the community delivering basic services, particularly those that struggle to access larger grant programs.
