Purpose:
This project seeks to set up a resource recovery centre for a Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste repurposing centre in Taree. This Resource Recovery Centre (RRC) will collect (C&D) waste from local builders and utilise the new space located in Taree (close to road and rail connections) to sort and repurpose C&D waste in an efficient way of recycling this waste for reuse in further projects. This in turn will reduce the amount of C&D waste going into landfill. The project will significantly increase employment opportunities for both able and disabled people through the creation of the repurposing recycling facility.
