QASMT FTC Robotics
Purpose:
The Queensland Academy of Science and Mathematics and Technology is Education Queensland's flagship selective entry STEM focused academy. Robotics is a key component of the school's extracurricular program for students. This program supports senior Robotics students to compete in the First Tech Challenge (FTC). FTC Teams are challenged to design and build a robot using a kit of parts and within a common set of rules to play a sophisticated field game. Each year there's a new challenge to complete. Teams are rewarded for their technical skills, in addition to their spirit as they engage in outreach. Students make connections with teams at home and abroad to build an atmosphere that FTC value as Gracious Professionalism.
