Purpose:
This project will improve recovery and resilience for the Araluen community by upgrading facilities in this bushfire-affected town. The proposed works include: a new steel fence at the Church of England Cemetery replacing the existing damaged timber fence; a water tank, new community kitchen and outdoor exercise equipment at the Araluen Recreation Ground; upgrades to a new water tank and fill point at the Araluen Campground. The kitchen and sports area will provide social recovery benefits whilst the new water tanks and fill points will assist the Araluen communities capabilities to withstand future bushfires. Upgrades to the campground will also help improve economic recovery.
