Purpose:
The VEX V5 competition is a national STEM competition that engages students through the development of an autonomous and remote controlled robot which completes a challenge course against another team. The students collaborate with industry partners to develop their understanding of technologies and concepts related to programming, robotics, materials, CAD/CAM and engineering. In addition to developing their knowledge, the project develops additional skills including problem solving, collaboration, communication and critical thinking.
