Purpose:
The Purga Koala Habitat Restoration Project will increase the area of existing koala habitat by planting 1 hectare of new forest along the Purga Creek and maintaining 10.11 hectares of newly-planted koala forest. The restoration work will improve the capacity of existing forests to support healthy koala populations by reducing edge effect and by connecting patches of remnant vegetation with riparian zones.
