Purpose:
As the Reserve is a multi-purpose facility creating social inclusion opportunities for the community, and the field and service road surfaces having deteriorated due to the impact of environmental conditions, drought tolerant turf will be laid, and irrigation and drainage installed on the four fields and the surrounding ground service roads will be re-surfaced enabling:
- the location to become an evacuation centre for the Snowy Valleys Council and RFS in the event of a regional disaster or emergency;
- a safer recreational environment for the local and regional community;
- year round and increased use as a multi-purpose venue; and
- community participation opportunities especially for female and Indigenous participants.
