Purpose:
This project will work with private land managers to protect and enhance habitat for koala in the area between Berridale, Beloka and Jindabyne (Avonside) in NSW. The project will focus on protecting, enhancing and expanding habitat available for koala. The project will also reduce threats to this population via pest animal management activities and land manager education initiatives in conjunction with Upper Snowy Landcare Network. This project will contribute to the NSW Koala Strategy and will also complement and expand on the Bushfire Recovery Fund for Wildlife and Habitat project Enhancing Koala Habitat in other areas of the Monaro and South East NSW currently being delivered by South East Local Land Services.
