Purpose:
The project will implement the recommendations of the community led Lake Conjola-Conjola Park Masterplan and will focus on boating infrastructure accessed from Hoylake Reserve in Conjola Park. It will involve the construction of a new jetty, floating fishing pontoons and kayak launching jetty and incorporate a memorial to the three local residents who lost their lives in the Currowan Fire and signage that honours the firefighters and those that came to the communities rescue or have provided long term support. The new jetty will be signposted and developed as an assembly point and incorporate both directional and historical signage that tells the story of the Black Summer Bushfires and acknowledges its impact.
