STEM with Style Fashiontech Workshops 2021
Purpose:
To coincide with National Science Week, the Gold Coast Innovation Hub will be running a series of Fashiontech workshops for young girls to learn how to infuse technology in their favourite clothing.
Utilising 3D printing and electronics, students will learn how to add a modern twist to timeless crafts, mixing millinery with microchips and applique with accelerometers to create fun, interactive garments whilst developing key STEM skills.
STEM with Style Workshops also include an important education piece around sustainability in fashion, which drives enquiry based learning in STEM.
