Purpose:
Batyrs project will equip Snowy Valley youth between the ages of 14 and 18 with the skills and knowledge to understand, discuss and address the mental health impacts of the bushfires. Program activities include school-based workshops for 550 students, 100 parents/community members and 50 teachers. A local young person will additionally receive training as a mental health experience advocate promoting ongoing resilience and recovery.
