Purpose:
This project and STEM initiative involves taking our disadvantaged and at-risk youth to Canberra to complete 3 days of STEM activities, excursions and experiences that the student would not otherwise get to experience. The project is designed to support students to develop STEM skills, increase the number of students participating in STEM education and increase the number of students participating in domestic STEM events. Students will visit venues like Questacon, the Observatory and Canberra Glassworks to experience hands on, engaging, investigative and kinaesthetic tasks.
