PacificAus Sports’ purpose is to strengthen people-to-people links between Australia and the Pacific through sport to enhance Australia’s relationships and standing in the Pacific. PacificAus Sports does this by fostering elite sports pathways and linkages that facilitate regular competition and engagement between Australia and Pacific teams, athletes, and other sports stakeholders. The objectives of PacificAus Sports Partnership Grants are: (1) developing pathways for Pacific teams and athletes to play in high level Australian sports competitions; (2) supporting Australian sports codes to increase their presence and participation in the Pacific; and (3) developing pathways for emerging athletes from the region to benefit from high performance coaching, training, and competition.

 This grant will enable the Australian Olympic Committee to support Pacific Island countries to prepare and qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
