PacificAus Sports strengthens people-to-people links between Australia and the Pacific by fostering elite sports pathways and linkages that facilitate regular competition and engagement between Australian and Pacific teams and athletes and other sports stakeholders.

Beginning in 2019, PacificAus Sports established partnerships promoting rugby union, rugby league, soccer and netball – across Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu – and later included partnerships in cricket, Australian Rules Football (AFL), and Olympic and Paralympic sports. This grant opportunity will continue the delivery of successful activities undertaken during the first phase of PacificAus Sports (2019-23). PacificAus Sports will continue to invest in partnerships in rugby union, rugby league, soccer, netball, cricket, AFL and support towards the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Only organisations listed below are eligible to apply for this grant: Australian National Rugby League; Queensland Rugby League; New South Wales Rugby League; Rugby Australia; Netball Australia; Football Australia; Cricket Australia; Australian Football League (AFL); Australian Olympic Committee.
