Purpose:
The technology and inter connectivity available in the Local Disaster Coordination Centre (LDCC) at Gladstone is limited and hinders the speed and efficiency at which decisions regarding pre disaster event preparation and response can occur. The following enhancements to the centre have been identified and will ensure that Council and emergency services have a fit for purpose facility to coordinate operations in response to emergencies. Better connectivity between agency devices and display screens, additional TV screens for displaying critical information and the installation of ground power boards to rectify safety concerns will allow for additional hubs to be set up converting the space to be remote log in accessible with whiteboard wall and boards installed. Installation of backup generator.
