The Santos Science Experience
Purpose:
Murray Bridge High School is located in a regional, diverse community with significant elements of disadvantage. In order to expose our students to the potential careers available in STEM fields and the opportunities university offers, we propose to attend the Santos Science experience at Flinders University, which incorporates the opportunity to experience campus life whilst staying on-site/nearby during the experience. This also allows our students to access and use advanced scientific equipment and facilities that our students do not have access to at school. Costs including accommodation, travel and food costs would usually exclude many of our students from this type of event so we are seeking funding to allow their participation.
