2024 F1 In Schools - National Finals
Purpose:
F1 in Schools is a complex STEM challenge that takes place worldwide. Our students will be designing a miniature F1 car using computer-aided design programs, and then testing their cars' mass and drag coefficients using virtual wind tunnel software. They manufacture the product and components, using a computer numerically controlled machine (CNC) and/or a 3D printer. Alongside this process is the collation of concepts, data, and collaborations which is presented in portfolios and spoken about to panels of judges. The projected outcomes are that the kids will produce, write about, and talk about their products and processes with confidence as they have been afforded the time, resources, and funds to be successful.
