Purpose:
The Scenic Rim Multi-Purpose Arena is a community-led project that will create a new sports and recreation facility in South East Queensland. The Arena will deliver enabling infrastructure that celebrates the region's cultural heritage and supports the social recovery and resilience of the community to withstand the impact of natural disasters and bushfire events currently being experienced. The Boonah Show Society (BSS) and its grounds already act as a central staging ground and recovery hub during natural disasters. The addition of the Multi-Purpose Arena will improve the provision of essential services for Emergency Services and be a central hub for community pastimes that support community recovery and the region's cultural heritage.
