Purpose:
This project will adapt and implement the existing Minderoo Climate Resilient Housing Toolkit for older Australians in the Bega and Noosa LGAs. The toolkit was developed by the Canberra Region Joint Organisation (CRJO) to help property owners get back on their feet and improve the bushfire resilience of their properties, with the aim of reducing risk and stress for the future, and potentially lowering insurance premiums. This project will trial the toolkit with older Australians in two climatic and fire risk zones, assisting the trial participants to futureproof their own properties and using their input to maximise the toolkits accessibility and practicality for this demographic.
