Soil Carbon and Methane
Grant Activity:
Feasibility study: deepSoil-C a soil carbon measurement-modelling solution
Purpose:
This project is (i) a feasibility study for the development of a system, deepSoil-C, that integrates automated soil sensing, state-of-the-art estimation with the scalability of carbon modelling to enable accurate low-cost monitoring of soil carbon stocks and (ii) a first-stage release of one of deepSoil-Cs components, the spectroscopic estimation component that was developed as a stand-alone software platform, globeSpec, for estimating carbon content and other soil properties. The feasibility study will include market research, voice of customer and development of a commercialisation roadmap for deepSoil-C. The key outcome will be to understand the market need, the target customers and a clear view of product development for deepSoil-C.
