Purpose:
Two teams from Hampton SHS (Perth, WA) qualified for the National Finals to be held March 27-31 in Sydney. This grant will be used to sponsor travel to the competition for students and supervising teacher. Students will develop a wide range of skills from design, engineering and manufacturing to the soft skills sought after by industry (project management, teamwork, collaboration, problem solving, communication). Students design a Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROV) which they will present at a trade display and operate in a trial attempting to complete a number of underwater tasks using the ROV.
