Purpose:
This project will assist the economic recovery and resilience needs of the Talbingo community by enabling the Talbingo Caravan Park to rebuild vital infrastructure damaged by bushfire. Project activities include rebuilding and refurbishment of four fire and smoke-damaged buildings used to provide tourist accommodation. Actions include installation of kitchens, bathrooms, repair of damaged walls, and replacement of floors and carpets. Additional activities will include development of a fire management plan, construction of new fire lines and breaks, and reduction of fuel load on the property. Funding will facilitate social and economic recovery by providing local jobs and increasing tourism-related spending.
