Purpose:
The NSW soil carbon quantification program will address the key impediments and limitations to the delivery of rapid, accurate and low-cost determination of soil carbon. In Phase 1, the feasibility of a range of novel and existing technologies, including approaches used in the field and laboratory will be evaluated. Approaches with the greatest potential, with the broader goal of developing these to an operational and commercially viable state in subsequent phases will be identified. This research will facilitate the adoption of innovative methods and encourage land manager engagement for improved environmental outcomes.
