Purpose:
Armidale's newly established cultural precinct will deliver an integrated, curriculum-aligned arts and cultural offering for primary schools in remote bushfire affected areas of North-West NSW.
Designed by the Aboriginal Cultural Centre & Keeping Place, New England Regional Art Museum and New England Conservatorium of Music, 18 small and micro schools will receive:
- 8 hours of teacher professional development delivered by regionally based educators
- Lesson plans and resource kits to support complementary Indigenous, music and visual arts activities in the classroom
- 1:1 support from specialist mentors
- Free transport to the Armidale Cultural Precinct for a full day of hands-on student workshops, arts, and cultural experiences.
