Purpose:
This competition focusses on the development of a number of high-level mechanical engineering and mechatronic engineering skills. Students must design, manufacture and test a one meter remotely controlled vehicle (submarine) that must demonstrate full functionality by successfully navigating an underwater obstacle course. A range of Enterprise skills (i.e. project management and communication) must be developed and demonstrated to judges, The Subs in Schools STEM competition develops excellent engineering and enterprise skill in students who wish to pursue an career in engineering.
