Grant Activity:
Australian Cerebral Palsy Musculoskeletal Health Network
Purpose:
Cerebral palsy is the most common physical disability in Australian children. The early brain injury results in progressive movement problems (only 55% will walk, 30% will not sit), leading to problems with hip, spine deformity, major fractures, resulting in pain, loss of function and reduced participation. Our Consumer Network will guide us to form the Australian CP Musculoskeletal Health Network that will reduce the impact of hip, spine and bone fragility complications in children with CP.
