Purpose:
This project will support a tripartite partnership led by Deep Brain Stimulation Technologies Pty Ltd (DBST) to develop and evaluate an innovative treatment for Parkinson's disease. Research will be conducted by the Bionics Institute of Australia in collaboration with an international partner, a leading medical device manufacturer. The project will develop an advanced DBS system and demonstrate its clinical benefits, enabling product commercialisation within 3 years.
