Purpose:
Students will be working with industry partners to participate in a citizen science project. Students will be working with technology developed by AusOcean and will be assembling a floating rig and programming an underwater camera to provide to the project. Throughout this project, students will be exposed to an authentic citizen science project, explore related scientific concepts, prototype using the Engineering Design Process and use iterative design in a meaningful way. Students will work collaboratively, linking closely with industry partners to gain technical knowledge, as well skills in project management, innovative design, problem-solving and communication.
