Purpose:
The Community Shed and Sports Courts project includes building sustainable extensions to the Community Shed. This will increase the floor area to provide a more useable venue to accommodate local community functions and events, and a central meeting place in the event of future disasters. Repairing and upgrading the fire damaged tennis courts to a multipurpose sport facility will provide additional social opportunities for this isolated community to engage, rebuild connections, and be active. Involvement in this project by members of the local community will assist in their individual and broader community recovery process, while local employment opportunities and economic benefits will be delivered both during and after these projects.
