The Refurbishment of the Marine Rescue Bermagui Base
Purpose:
The refurbishment will provide a fit for purpose facility to meet operational requirements, increased training expectations and ensuring Volunteer Marine Rescue has the necessary facilities to meet future operations in support of the community. It will also provide a facility that can operate as a potential alternate Search & Rescue Coordination Centre (SARCC) in a time of emergency when power is lost to the community during bushfires or other such emergency events. Works will include replacement of the internal partition, additional air-conditioning, new storage, new floor coverings, internal painting and decorating. A fit-for-purpose generator will be sourced and installed to ensure 24 hour electrical power availability to operate the base equipment.
