F1 in Schools National Competition
Purpose:
Students have been working to develop and race a model F1 car. The students in the team Powercure, finished first in the Western Australian Professional Class. They are to represent Western Australia at the National F1 in Schools Technology Challenge. Students are required to design, test and make a model miniature F1 car, driven by a CO2 canister and capable of 80km/h along a 20m track. Due to COVID–19, the competition will now be conducted virtually. The students are required to post their model car to Sydney. They will build a trade booth, produce a uniform, and produce portfolios and other products for virtual judging in front of the real trade booth. They will share their project, business planning, marketing, collaboration, and presentation skills with online judges.
