Purpose:
The project will repair and upgrade Tharwa Hall located on Block 1, Section 8, Johnson Street, Tharwa ACT. The scope of works will include repair and restoration of the building structure, earthworks and partial restumping, upgrade of the kitchen, addition of hot water and hall lighting, fit-out of the storeroom and landscaping of the immediate surrounds. The rescue of the Hall from dilapidation will ensure its viable future as the districts community hub in times of emergency, cherished venue for social events, and a location for tourist attracting events with a focus on improving the health and connectivity of the community and surrounds.
