Purpose:
This project involves building a Community Hall/Refuge for Mongarlowe (MCHR) - a high risk bushfire area to support residents impacted by the 2019-2020 bushfires. MCHR will be a best-practice example of community-led resilience for other communities facing similar climate-related threats. A Neighbourhood Safer Place (NSP)/Community Refuge will also address disability access and amenities, air quality, power and telecommunications and sustenance of emergency personnel.
