Purpose:
This project will support the recovery of the social, economic and built environments of the Shoalhaven LGA following the devastating impact of the 2019/20 fires by enabling the community to reap the benefits of mountain biking and its booming popularity. The project will upgrade and enhance the Nowra mountain biking trail network and infrastructure, managed by South Coast United Mountain Bikers, to industry standard by completing the following:
- Improving access roads to trailheads
- Improving trails to ensure they comply with Australian mountain biking Guidelines and are safe, sustainable and diverse
- Development of all the trailheads including the construction of essential amenities and facilities
- Establishing essential trail and trailhead signage.
