Purpose:
After the 2019/20 bushfires impacted the Upper Murray region, the redevelopment of the skatepark was identified as a key priority of the Corryong youth working groups and aligns with the recovery priorities of the Corryong Community Recovery Committee.
The project will remove the existing aged Corryong skatepark facility and construct a new skate and BMX facility in Corryong. The Corryong Skatepark is the only skate, BMX and scooter facility within the Upper Murray region and the upgraded facility will provide increased and improved elements that will result in increased recreational participation and social connection particularly for young people and families across the Upper Murray region.
