Purpose:
The Mount Barker District Council has for the past two years worked on management of tree safety of partially or fully fire damaged trees along roadways and in reserves and the replacement of roadside markers that were either damaged or destroyed in the fires. Currently council has achieved around 30 percent of the required work to complete this recovery across the fire scar. This project will continue and complete this work and will help with recovery of built infrastructure. The project will also assist in mental health and social recovery for the community through decreasing the visual reminders of this event.
