Purpose:
Noosa Leisure Centre is the priority evacuation centre in the shire and was utilised extensively in the Black Summer bushfires. The centre is now 28 years old and a number of its original components have reached the end of their useful life. Funding will be used to restore and upgrade the centres plumbing, bathrooms and CCTV system. All proposed works will enhance the centres functionality and safety, both during use as an evacuation centre and also during times of normal use as the local leisure centre.
