NT Solar Car Challenge
Purpose:
For 30 years, the World Solar Challenge has welcomed the greatest minds to push the limits of technological innovation to travel from Darwin to Adelaide in a solar vehicle. Now Northern Territory students can participate in their own challenge. The NT Schools Solar Challenge being run by Engineers Australia (NT) is open to Year 4 to Year 10 students. They will design, build and race their model solar cars. MTANT will use grant monies to ensure as many students are able to participate as possible. The benefit to MTANT is that we can support the teaching of mathematics for students all across the NT. It also provides us an opportunity to increase teachers awareness of our work.
