Student Ambassador serving at 2023 VEX Robotics World Championships
Purpose:
The project supports a student serving as a Student Ambassador at VEX Robotics World Championships 2023 in Dallas. He's in his third year on the international student advisory board for the REC Foundation, helping improve their services and robotics competitions and is the first Australian to serve on the board. Last year the event brought together over 2,900 teams and 28,000 students from 36 nations to celebrate STEM excellence, sponsored by organisations such as Google, NASA and Tesla. This opportunity, his first in person Worlds, will enable the student to grow in a leadership role, serve the global community, and bring back new skills and knowledge to encourage others to consider STEM subjects, co-curricular activities, and careers.
